The UAE Government has been working tirelessly on policies under its Cybersecurity Strategy. Cut to now, the UAE Cyber Security Council (CSC) responsible for the upkeep of the cybersecurity framework in the country, has announced the official National Cybersecurity Strategy will be officially launched this week.
This comes from Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaitin, head of the UAE CSC, according to whom, the revamped strategy is poised to allow the UAE to keep pace with the rapid transformations in technology that it is going through and put it in line with global standards. Adopting the national policies further cements the country’s position in the advancement of AI and its digital economy.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti was present at the World Government Summit (WGS) 2025 held in Dubai, stating the five major pillars that the new strategy is built on. He further added these pillars are designed to strengthen the country’s adoption of innovations and safety while keeping the digital environment robust, secure, and resilient.
Sectors such as education, aviation, energy, health, and others, have seen rapid advances in cybersecurity systems. Additionally, these sectors are high-profile targets for intruders as gaps in their digital security can pose a problem triggering money and reputational damage.
With the upcoming National Cybersecurity Strategy in place, the UAE will be able to combat malicious cyberattacks that are on the rise as well. The policies will be enacted in the first quarter of 2025 once existing policies aren’t finalized.
